After picking up the RV from it’s 2-month-long stay at Crestview RV in Georgetown TX for a slide-out repair, we spent a night close by at this nice little park. It wasn’t too far off of the highways, and was the right amount of ‘conveniently close’ and ‘away from the noise’ in regards to Austin.

Newly working slide out means….finally beginning our state map!

The staff was super helpful when we pulled in and found us a site within minutes even though we were just showing up without calling ahead. Once we were hooked up and settled, we had plenty of time left to head into town for dinner at The Roaring Fork, which is a must-eat place in town.

We also had plenty of time to let Hazen wander around in one of their three fenced-in dog run areas, while we chatting with the on-site manager as she hung out with her dog as well. It turned into a great discussion, in which we found out she is one of the annual volunteer staff at Burning Man, which we’re excited to eventually experience for ourselves.

Great layout with lots of room

The pool area was great and perfect for a late evening soak in the hot tub. Their laundry room was well lit and clean just like their gym area, and the showers were clean and super relaxing. A small RV shower just doesn’t cut it on stressful days, and paying an RV dealer for 2 months of work can be labelled stressful very easily.

Next time we’re in Austin, this is definitely on our list to re-visit. Between this park and our other go-to, there is no need to even try other parks in the area. But we probably will of course… 😉
