We’re the Anthony family. Well, the Southern California contingent of the Anthony Family Circus anyway. And by ‘we’ I mean myself, my wife Gena, our 2 sons Tyler and Joey, and 2 Italian greyhounds Hazen and Mike.
This blog is about what me and my wife have decided is one hell of a mutual dream for the rest of our lives. Traveling.
Not just any traveling mind you. I’ve been around the globe a number of times growing up an army brat, and easily being bored if I’m stuck in one area for too long. My wife has done some traveling way back when, but rarely outside of Southern California. I’m eager to keep moving, and she’s just as eager to get moving, and see all of the things neither of us have.
So, toss in the desire to always be on the move to enjoy and absorb somewhere new, we’ve decided the best way to get that accomplished is to refuse to be bound to a specific address. Instead, we’re going to shoot for a full-time RV lifestyle, living on the road in a home on wheels! Easy enough to park some place near my work, and even easier to unplug and drive to the beach, a lake, the mountains, or a different city on a long weekend. Further with just a little time taken off of work too.
Unfortunately, we aren’t in the position to just rush out to the dealer and pick up that wonderful 43 foot diesel pusher (with the side loading garage for our scooters) that I have my heart set on. But we are impatient enough that we’re going to do whatever it takes to get out more, and as soon as possible!
So along the way to finally purchasing our “Home Sweet Roam”, and starting everyday life on wheels heading toward the unseen sights of north America, you get to read all about the baby steps we take to get there, and keep sane along the way!
We’ll be doing some camping. We’ll be doing some road trips. We’ll be doing quite a few things.
