With a long weekend available after a rather stressful month or more, we decided it was time to get out of town and go on an adventure. Seeing as we have kicked around the idea of traveling north in California for quite a while but never found the time, this turned out to be the weekend with no more excuses.
Since we don’t have the travel trailer any longer, and we didn’t plan ahead far enough to make camping reservations, our tent for this trip was Gena’s Element. We have read about a lot of tips and tricks for camping on the road inside the Element, so we weren’t too scared by the prospects of it. A little forethought on how to pack the car and what to bring along, and Gena had it pretty well stocked for the trip, with plenty of room for comfort when the time came to hunker down for the nights.
I wanted to post to this blog from the road while we were on the trip but without a good connection other than open WiFi networks we found inside SF, I wasn’t able to do that. In the very near future I’m going to go over options for connecting while on the road again. I’ll have a few posts here based on what I’m finding out when I research that. Being that I didn’t have that capability on this trip, I’ll post the events in the next few entries here.
Thankfully, Gena as always, took plenty of wonderful photos of the entire trip and I’ll be able to use those in the posts from the newly re-installed photo gallery on this site. If I know what I’m doing. Which is not a guarantee by any means.
